Roommate Spring Wardrobe Transition Checklist

Spring Is Declutter Season

As the weather warms up, winter clothes need to go into storage and spring wardrobes come out. In a shared home, this means coordinating storage space and — ideally — decluttering together.

Before You Start

Check your shared storage areas: under-bed boxes, closet space, loft access. Agree on who gets what space for off-season storage. Clear the area first.

The Declutter Opportunity

Suggest a house-wide declutter session. Items that haven't been worn in a year can be donated or sold. Make it social — put on a playlist and tackle it together.

Storage Rotation

Vacuum-seal winter coats and jumpers to save space. Label every box clearly with the owner's name and contents. Store in the agreed shared storage areas.

Shared Wardrobe Etiquette

If you share wardrobe space (even partially), establish boundaries. Don't borrow without asking, and respect the agreed storage zones.
